What we do

Support Housing Network helps providers secure rental approvals by improving readiness and strengthening how they are presented to agents and landlords.

We focus on preparation, clarity, and introductions — not property listings.

Our role is to help you apply clearly, move faster, and repeat what works.

Who our services are for

SHN supports organisations seeking rental properties for:

  • Supported Independent Living (SIL) and shared living homes

  • disability-supported accommodation programs

  • youth residential care, child protection, and OOHC placement houses

  • homelessness and transitional housing programs

  • SDA providers and partners building stronger housing pathways

Our core service

Housing readiness & agent introduction consulting

A structured consulting service designed to help you secure suitable rental properties faster by improving readiness and credibility.

This typically includes:

  • Housing needs workshop

Lock in criteria such as layout, bedrooms, suburbs, lease window, and staffing model fit

  • Provider “tenant narrative” and application pack support

Documentation that answers common agent and landlord questions upfront

  • Agency mapping

Shortlisting the right offices and PM teams by suburb and stock type

  • Warm introductions

Connecting you with agents and landlords open to provider tenancies

  • Coaching

Inspection preparation, fast submissions, and addressing concerns professionally

  • Post-outcome debrief

Capture lessons and refine the pack and process for the next property

Ways to work with us

  • Best when you have a specific requirement and want to move quickly on the next suitable property.

  • Best when you’re opening multiple homes or building a steady pipeline.

Focuses on systemising your pack, introductions, and internal cadence so approvals compound over time.

  • For organisations seeking a predictable pipeline across regions.

    Typical inclusions:

    • market pulse updates and suburb movement

    • ongoing agency relationship management

    • priority support when urgent needs arise

  • Where relevant, we can help you with:

    • transition or repositioning advisory

    • agency education workshops

    • onboarding systems support (templates, checklists, SOP alignment)

We offer a small number of engagement pathways, depending on your timeline and the number of properties you need.

These are explained in the provider webinar and confirmed in writing.

What we deliver

Depending on your engagement, you can expect:

  • a clear property criteria profile per program type

  • a professional, repeatable provider application pack

  • clear contacts, escalation process, and maintenance approach

  • a targeted agency shortlist aligned to your regions

  • warm introductions with clear next steps

  • a simple weekly housing cadence for inspections, submissions, and follow-up

Who we help

Clear boundaries.

To keep the model clear and compliant:

  • SHN is a consulting and referral partner

  • SHN is not a real estate agency or property manager

  • SHN does not submit applications, negotiate lease terms, collect rent or bond, or sign leases

  • all leases remain strictly between the Provider and the licensed real estate agent or landlord

Our fees

To align fees with outcomes, we only charge when both occur:

  1. the Provider receives written approval from the landlord or agent, and

  2. the lease documentation is received by the Provider

Fee details are confirmed in your proposal and service agreement.
